Aural Rehabilitation
If you feel you are still struggling with communication at home, we offer aural rehabilitation to help make sure everyone is being an efficient communicator at home.
According to ASHA, “a person-centered approach to assessment and management of hearing loss that encourages the creation of a therapeutic environment conducive to a shared decision process which is necessary to explore and reduce the impact of hearing loss on communication, activities, and participations”.
We believe that in order to obtain great hearing aid success our patients should be counseled on proper communication strategies. We strongly encourage involving our patient’s main communication partners during these counseling sessions because hearing loss is rarely something that effects only the individual who has it.
The aural rehabilitation sessions are included in the cost of the hearing healthcare services.
